2015 marks the Centenary of the WI’s establishment in the UK. Our Programme for 2015 is a celebration of the centenary as we look back at the WI’s 100 year history, decade by decade.

Tue 6th January **YearOpener** Burlesque Dancing  With Dance Teacher  Julie Thomas
Tue 3th February 1915-1925 History of the WI…still inspiring women?  From the beginnings in 1915, through two world wars, homemaking, jam making, campaigning and nude calendars! Where did it start? Where are we going?
Tue 3th March 1925-1935 Upstairs Downstairs  A look at life Downstairs which included traditional cooking and housekeeping. Compared to what was going on Upstairs the Charleston, Flapper girls and cocktails.
Tue 7th April 1935-1945 Make Do and Mend  Up-cycling clothes, making something new from something old
Tue 5th May 1945-1955 Get the Vintage Look  Pin Curls, Victory Rolls and Beehives. With tips on accessorising and using key pieces to get the vintage look with a modern twist. This meeting will be based in Vintage Rose Cafe Oak Street, Llangollen
Tue 2nd June 1955-1965 Rock and Roll Music and dancing from this iconic era. Please come dressed up (in 50’s/60’s gear) and ready to dance!
Tues 30th **June 1965-1975 Grow Your Own Taking inspiration from the hippy movement of the 1970s, how growing your own could become your own business! This meeting will be at Geufron Hall
Tue 1st September 1975-1985 ”Royal” Icing  Cup-cake decorating with a “Royal” theme inspired by the two big  events of this era the Silver Jubilee and Royal Wedding. This meeting will be based in Vintage Rose Cafe Oak Street, Llangollen
Tue 6thh October 1985-1995 80s/90s Retro Legwarmers, hoola hoops, game shows and some very bizarre trends all revisited in this retro evening.
Tue 3rdh November 1995-2005 Calendar Girls   In homage to the infamous calendar we attempt to produce our own (fully clothed of course!!)
Tue 1stnd December 2005-2015 Christmas Carol Singing Christmas carols and songs which span the WI’s 100 years. A warm and cosy festive sing-a-long around the fire.

**July’s meeting will always be the Tuesday before Eisteddfod, some years this will fall in July, in others it will be June.
